Software
Firmwares and apps I build for hardware instruments, desktop and mobile — experimental tools for IDM, rhythmic noise, granular synthesis and electroacoustic music.
Firmwares
Alternative firmwares and takeovers that turn instruments into something they were never sold as.
Tonitor
Acousmatic firmware for the M-Vave FM-1 — electroacoustic experimentation, live ambient and sound exploration. Deliberately not a groovebox.
Motor:Cycles
Generative rhythmic-noise / power-noise firmware — pounding kicks, abrasive textures and mechanical repetition, with generators that build kits, phrases and whole patterns from a single complexity control.
DigiRust
Experimental Digitone II firmware for IDM, rhythmic / power noise and electroacoustic music, applied through browser-local and macOS patchers using your own copy of the stock OS.
PoundHardArmbian edition
A 16-track groovebox for the Ableton Move running on bare-metal Armbian — Ableton's stack removed entirely, a mainline PREEMPT_RT kernel, native JACK and an appliance menu launched from the jogwheel.
PoundHardSchwung edition
The original 16-track Move takeover, running on top of Schwung — built for edgy IDM, rhythmic noise and percussion-centric experimental electronica.
Granola MPC
A five-voice granular instrument that boots the MPC One straight into Granola (stock Akai app disabled): grain clouds, nine LFOs per track, parameter-lock sequences and un-quantised gesture loops.
Granola for Move
Eight-track granular synthesis for the Move, with a sample harvester that finds its own material and 154 Airwindows effects ported into assembled chains.
Apps
Standalone software for the desktop and for mobile devices.
Granola
Eight-track granular synthesizer for macOS, built on SuperCollider and designed around the M-Vave SMC-Mixer and SMC-PAD Pocket controllers.
VascularTactile Synth
A canvas-based electroacoustic instrument for phones and tablets: you place and connect synth voices with your fingers, and the graph you build is also the signal path. 56 generators, 72 processors, and an AUv3 on iOS.
